Lexus Animation Test

This was a test to see how the car looks skidding to a stop... I put the Spidey-verse lines on the vehicle for accent. Aligned the motion capture to the cloth simulation from Marvelous Designer which was Alembic cached.

This project was particularly fun because I could test out the rig of the car and had the challenge of fitting the animation around the character's motion capture was done in the editor, splicing 2 seperate animations.

Freeway Animated Scene

This scene was taken from the car chase in the movie "The Matrix Reloaded" where Trinity must evade Agents, Police, and oncoming cars on the freeway. The Freeway was built in the Unreal Editor and transferred to Maya.

The Camera blocking was the challenge of this exercise for I had to figure how to keep the scene dynamic. Contemplated adding a camera shake here but ultimately made a different scene and did the shake in post with After Effects.

LADY IN RED

This was one of the first cloth simulation test done in Marvelous Designer and then brought over to Maya by way of Alembic cache... coolest thing is that in Maya you can offset the simulation to line up with the character's walk cycle.

I loved dabbling into the concept of glowing clothes. Marvelous Designer lays out wonderful UV's making it easy to design on the "go". With a surface shader, you can actually create the glow to reflect off the skin.
